Sipped this with the Maybach Amoenus ‘19 making delicious Ooni pizzas on my Son’s 11th birthday. Without a doubt, this was the show stopper, the star! So many flavors, so much depth, from lush yet structured reddish black fruit to rosemary, thyme, bay leaf, graphite, flint, tobacco and slight dark chocolate notes. Wraps the palate and doesn’t let go for a long time. Great acidity and finish. What a wine! Kamen Franc ‘19.

Dark fruit, black olive, woody herbs, varietal character of bell pepper, dark chocolate, and oak are all harmonious and distinct. I wish I could have separated myself from the party for long enough to take a better tasting note. Velvety texture to the ripe tannins. The intensity and concentration is dialed up to 10, yet the wine is balanced and delicate enough to appreciate the nuances. Even the high alcohol seamlessly integrated. It's almost magic. Possibly the most dense concentrated …

Super impressed by this Franc. The most delicious and unique notes of freshly grown sage, thyme, rosemary, olives, ripe red and dark berries, some flint, herbal oak and chocolate. I’m just loving this wine so much. I want more of this! Great acid and tannins, long finish.

Brilliant wine. Easy power, finesse, bright and lively. Cool black mountain fruits, scrumptious spices, dark chocolate, crushed rocks, little graphite, hints of vanilla, mint, eucalyptus and fresh flowers. I was just so surprised how light on its feet it felt for a big cab. Truly Cashmere/Kashmir feel. This is gonna get better ! I’m thinking a 98-99! Cheers

From tasting on the mountain, by memory. I simply couldn't believe a wine this young, that spent most of its young life in new oak, could have tannis this supple and refined. This could be shamelessly consumed RIGHT NOW and you would not be disappointed with the integration, balance, and structure. HOWEVER, this will clearly benefit from further cellar time. A classic.

Napa 2023 - The Sequel; 8/23/2023-8/28/2023 : Opened 4-5 hrs from a prior tasting, this was the biggest of the wines, some black cherry and primarily sweet juicy plum at this stage. Oak at bay, but a nice tannic backbone carried this along to a medium-long finish. Drink now with 5-6 hr of air or lay down 5-6 years.
