Still tasting great, at peak !! I agree with my notes of the past 4.5 years. The cork was nearly perfect after over a decade and a half in the bottle, easily removed. This balanced Pinot Noir was consumed over two days. Ruby color with substantial oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of cranberry and pomegranate, silky flavors of red fruit compote, rhubarb, and marine soil and a pleasant medium finish. Popped and poured, this wine was much more soft and integrated …

I agree with my tasting note of a year ago, still tasting great, not fading yet !! This cork was barely saturated, about 1/10 of the way up the cork, removed cleanly. Consumed over two days. A very balanced flavorful Pinot Noir from a fabled vineyard in the Southern Santa Maria County. This age worthy wine may have more years of life left. I still have one bottle of this vintage remaining and will open in another year or so …

I still stand by my reviews from 4 & 6 months ago. This time the cork was perfect after a decade in the bottle. Consumed over two days. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of red raspberry and forest floor, flavors of red berries and rhubarb with a medium finish. More integrated and soft on day two. A very balanced flavorful Pinot Noir from a Talbot owned vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County. This …

I waited too long to open this 15.1% alcohol Pinot Noir! The real cork (with a maximum wine penetration of 2.9 cm) and heavy-weight foil promised a serious Pinot, but the tasting confirmed what the nose already told me: gone, maybe for a considerable time already.

A real credit to perfect provenance, this bottle sang from the get-go. Notes of red fruit wrapped in a blanket of spice and some earthy notes. Great purity and texture.

I still stand by my review from 2 months ago. This time the cork was saturated about half way up but removed intact after a decade in the bottle. Consumed over two days, this wine still has more life in it than I thought a couple of years ago (thank you Pinot rollercoaster). Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of red raspberry and forest floor, flavors of blackberry compote with a medium finish. More integrated and soft …

Cork saturated about 1/3 up, removed intact after a decade in the bottle. Consumed over two days, fruit more predominant on the first day, but shined on day two. Ruby color with little to no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of red fruit, fresh fig, and green tea, flavors of black cherry cola, and raspberry compote with a medium finish. More integrated and soft on day two. A very balanced flavorful Pinot Noir from a fabled vineyard in the Southern Santa …

Weekly tasting group #136; A fully blind test. (@ The factory by JdB) : Very concentrated bouquet with ripe red berry fruits. On the palate also a lot of very ripe fruits, a lot of sweetness and alcohol. Special. Ok wine, but not if you are a fan of classical wines.

Peaked, but seems like just a little. Light color and taste, so stereotypical Pinot. Quite good, but I remember it tasting better. Looks like I'll be drinking the rest of these in the next couple weeks.

A good blend of sweetness and spice. You could pick up the toast of the barrel a bit which added to the experience. Enjoyed this bottle.

Good wine...a bit too hot at first. Nice smooth fruit...as someone else said, a little sweet. Dark berries on the nose and palette...and a whiff of smoke(?)

Nothing really jumps out at you on this wine but it is drinking nicely right now. Was a little disjointed and unbalanced on the 2nd day.

--- COLOR: Medium garnet with light garnet rim NOTE: Nice, typical PN with all the raspberry, pomagranate, watermelon and cola you could want in the nose. Mouth is medium weight, nice glycerin and a good red berry element. The finish is a little simple and hot, but still very typical. This is well built. I probably wouldn't have bought it but it was our anniversary trip. DECANT: 2 hrs GLASS USED: PN TASTE: 9.1 OTHER: n/a 90+ COST: 40 VALUE: …

Opened for several hours, not decanted. Dark ruby color with medium clarity. A little stewed on the nose- fruitcake, black cherry, raspberry, and spice. Big and jammy on the palate with sweet cherry and darker fruit flavors. Underlying spice and menthol notes on the palate. Grainy firm tannins and heat from the alcohol on the finish. Closes with waves of spice, fruit, and heat. Overripeness and heat undermine the wine.

Burgundian in style for a CA Pinot Noir. Full in the mouth. Hotter than most Pinots.

This tastes way too young to drink, but does it have enough structure to age? Initial impression on opening: nose just alcohol. Bright, ripe fruit gives way to citrusy acid followed by piney tannin. Medium body. With a bit more air the syrupy character goes away, but the pinchy finish gets more prominent. Overall nice, but the finish is unfortunate.

Wow, definitely a ripe pinot, but one loaded with fruit and flavor for the style, with a slight minerality, perhaps from a touch of CO2, and an acceptable level of acid. This is more the hedonists Pinot, but it is delicious, so know what you're getting, and enjoy it. Judicious use of oak is also appreciated, as there's a touch, but not much.

Very fruity and non-descript. Not overextracted per se, but a bit on the ripe, sweet side for me. Not my favorite, but solid.

Recovering from a cold so my senses are still dulled. I can say this is a nice wine, medium red in color with red fruit aromas. Medium body with nice tannins and lively acidity. Long finish. Another good one from Testarossa.

This wine showed light to medium ruby in color. Notes of Red cherris and spice on the nose. Light to medium in body, with strawberry and red cherry flavors.

Light red color. Aromatic nose of strawberry, minerals, and a touch of wood spice. In the mouth, linear and racy, with a really terrific streak of strawberry fruit but a somewhat odd tomato-like note that I notice sometimes in Bien Nacido. Bright acidity. Terrific except for that one note I find odd. B+

Vibrant red. Nose of cherries, raspberries, plum, and earth. The palate is medium bodied with very soft, silky tannins and moderate acidity. The finish hangs around for awhile with flavors of red fruits.
