Immediately open after pouring, fragrant, sweet Pinot fruit on the nose along toasty barrique. On the palate the fruit is sweet and ripe but for me (contrary to the previous taster) not overripe. There is sufficient acidity and freshness for my palate, but yes, it's definitely (southern) German Pinot and therefore riper than most of burgundy or Swiss Pinots for example. Tannins are very silky, really polished feel, and the finish is balanced and long with lots of delicious, smoky …

tasted at the bar Pinot noir 13.50% alc The wine shows high intensity, highly smoky, savoury, red cherry notes. Palate follows the flavour pattern, red cherry notes, smoky, savoury, med to high tannins, tart, light to med body, med to high acidity, short to med finish Feels going downhill though, no second layers here on any real depth and there is an evolutional overripeness here too. Feels naked from fruit

Dark cherries, toasty oak, roasted meat and tomatos, balsamico; archetypical Pinot on the palate, meaty, savory, aromatic, serious and dark yet charming; super structure and length. This is great and has a bright future. 17.5+/20

Luminous, dusty ruby color in the glass. High intensity on the nose, with forest floor, freshness, red fruits. High acidity, mineral, length, some sweetness... Literally sticks to your palate for minutes. What a wine. Will improve for another 5 years but my suggestion is to drink it now as it is that good! Premium quality at a very good price point

Drank with friends - no formal notes. Very nice but a bit high in price.

Weingut von der Mark tasting (Oinoscent) : The wine shows impressive depth in the nose, savoury, heady, spicy, with ripe red cherry. The wine shows nice mouthfeel, spicy and earthy, medium tannins and acidity, ripe fruit, long finish Needs time
