What to make of a wine with a supposed RRP of $480/bottle but that sells for $50 via discount retailers? Marketing ploys aside, how's the wine? Actually very good. It's ripe but not overripe as sweet black cherry is balanced with tangy mulberry and sour plum. There's some definite oak vanilla and a hint of eucalyptus. Velvet soft tannins.
