First of four bottles opened was flawed so I opened another. Needs at least 4 hours to open up. Was expecting more from this, but maybe it will improve with time. Holding remaining two bottles for a few more years.

This is great wine.i’m glad to have several bottles in my cellar. This is a big full body super Tuscany and needs few more years (3-5) to reach its full potential. It wasn’t great with pizza and needs to paired better with meat or sharp hard cheese.

Retail $30. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Petit Verdot, 10% Cabernet Franc. Quite dark in color with oodles of dark, spicy fruit (blackberry, cassis, plum) in the glass. The palate is equally alluring with rich fruit, balancing acidity, and a touch of forest floor. Even almost five years out this seems a bit young still as there are noticeable albeit silky tannins on the lengthy finish. Could use another 3-5 years of cellar time, easily. Excellent now, 92 Points. www.thedrunkencyclist.com

Terrific QPR <$30. Tannins are already softening nicely, with varietal fruit accessible, as Sapaio continues to consistently produce excellent Bordeaux blends in Bolgheri (I like to think of it as Italianized Napa blends or Napa-like Tuscan blends - which I enjoy either way).

I agree with other reviews. My first impression just out of the bottle was of high quality and potential. But after 30 minutes it still had not opened up. Im guessing this could be stored for 15 years even. Texture is so beautiful!

Deep, dark, inky reddish-purple garnet in color; essentially opaque. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & dark currants with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes of violets, spices, dried herbs, mocha & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium-full bodied with very good concentration of well balanced and smooth textured, plush, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with dark cocoa, spices, herbs & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at …

Bolgheri 2019 Anteprima (67 Pall Mall, London) : 70% cab sav, 15% merlot, 15% petit verdot, 14m in barrique and tonneaux. G found this a little "raw" (esp compared to Guado al Tasso tasted alongside) but I thought this was quite nice.

Short 15min decant. Medium purple/ruby. Familiar cabernet nose with black berry, cassis, plum. Minimal oak on the nose, maybe a hint of graphite. On the palate, low acidity, medium+ body, medium - tannin. Fruit forward with your classic cabernet primary characteristics, also some vanilla and maybe a touch of greenery. Medium finish. Overall wine leaves a lot to be desired and doesn't really stand out in any way whatsoever but also is not unpleasant to drink. Really hard for me …

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, black currant (cassis) and prune. It tastes like blackberry, raisin, vanilla and oak. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Deep ruby. The nose is abundant but hot, with chocolate, cherry, graphite, and violet. On the palate, it's a classic Bordeaux blend with retronasal oomph. Full and vibrant body with a good amount of acid to feel satisfying but not dominant. Very tannic, though; it could have used a few more years to let that balance out.
