Bodegas BMA Ribera del Duero Bosque de Matasnos

Did not decant but opened about 5h ahead of a BBQ. Purple color, dark fruit, oak, tar. Fairly rich but not too heavy on the palate with just a touch of heat (15% alc). Short to medium finish. Clearly still a young wine that could benefit from a year or two in bottle to integrate further, what I miss though is the concentration and depth of fruit that usually comes with such elevated alcohol levels and usually indicates the upside …
