R Wines Grenache Poor Thing

Sweaty cheese, red cherry cordial, rich & hot, very boozy.

Given this is a Dan Philips project, I was expecting more. Decent fruit highlighted by the typical strawberry notes and the usual peppery-spicy finish of grenache. However, medium body at best, and not all that complex with a shortish finish. Would be a good wine with spicy Thai food, but rather unmemorable by itself.

Big dark jammy grenache. Even more lovely as it opens up.
