I have to reverse course on my previous review. This is classic RRV Pinot. 11-years past vintage and it's screaming good. Fruit, herbs, and barrel spice on the nose. Mixed red and blue fruit on the palate, with a medium finish. Lovely acidity. Drinking very well.

Classic RRV, classic Lynmar profile. Smooth tannins, ripe cherry fruit, and herbs on the nose. Great pairing with roast turkey.

This was a big, concentrated wine and presented initially more like a Zin than a Pinot. Fruit profile is dark, with some decent acidity showing on the palate. Fresh flavors still coming through, this pairs nicely with food. I'm not convinced this will get better with much age, but it's drinking well now; just keep in mind the fact that this is not your typical Pinot Noir, or even your typical profile for a Lynmar wine.

Starting to fade a bit but still very good. Lynmar never disappoints.

Lynmar makes my favorite Pinot's and this is as good as it gets. Tremendous nose, great light fruit flavors, balanced, long, good acidity. I along with Brad and Sarah liked this a lot more than other posters.

Full throttle style of pinot. Black cherry with savoury spice notes. A robust and lush wine

Tart cherry and sweet spicy notes from the oak are the dominant flavors here - full bodied and enjoyable - if not very subtle.

Lynmar Estate (Sebastopol) : Similar in profile to the 2013 except that this didn't carry as hearty of a bell pepper note as its older sibling. Some brush and vegetal notes on the back end, but this 2014 was much more focused (though tight and condensed), with higher toned cranberry, red berry, alcohol, and some subtle earth notes. This came off super young, but it had some delineation of flavors (especially compared to the 2013). Unsure of its future. Hopefully …

A deep crimson hue in the glass, this wine displays aromas of wild berry, cream soda, plum and white pepper that delight the senses. The textured mid-palate is highlighted by wild berry, cinnamon and tobacco, while hints of black tea and Rainier cherry make way for a long finish with supple tannins.
