Completely surprised. Reviews have been less than favorable and our bottle was lovely. Deep purple hue that opens with bacon and mint aromas. A full-bodied density that features blackberry, cinnamon and tobacco flavors. A lingering finish with hints of hickory and leather. Perfect pairing with meatloaf.

I have had this wine, at least, five times and although it is well made, there is nothing distinctive about it. It has a deep, brick red color. typical zin berry flavors and some spiciness in the finish; but, I this wine is too tame for a zin, especially old vines.

Big fruity nose with a little cedar showing through. Juicy fruit on the palate with a little spice, nicely balanced and very dry. Tannins are there but not in the way at all. Seems well made and went well with a good meatball Stromboli.

had with chili. complex, rustic, not overly fruity, with perfectly balanced tannins. just slightly rough around the edges, could have been slightly smoother. overall very well made zin.
