Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese

The wine showed medium sweetness and a medium acidity. The wine has a lovely enticing nose of mixed sweet juicy Golden Delicious apples and Granny Smith apples, glacéd pineapple, honey and a soft spicy touch. The palate was consistent with the nose with a touch of petroleum heaviness, the only thing was the wine finished a touch short that said it was delicious and a huge life still ahead of it.

AP 06. Cork. From 375mL bottle. Pineapple and coconut initially on the nose, those these dissipate with time. Apricot, mango, smoke and sulphur. Quite ripe and sweet, with a sizeable dose of botrytis. Some tart red apple juice mixed in with more rich tropical flavours and botrytis in the mouth, but the acid is mouth-watering and holds it all together. Cork, 7.5% alc. 375 ml. Marked by ferment characters. Has a nose reminiscent of a just-bottled Aussie Riesling. Pineapple and coconut on the palate and nose. Quite sweet with some botrytis. Completely different characteristic to the other Auslesen consumed recently. Very young, very fresh, mint, powerful tropical fruit. Sweetness builds on the palate with air.
