Revisiting four plus years later with my last bottle of this berry-like, light, elegant and delicious wine. Hell yeah! This is sooo good. A dangerous wine, tempting me to keep on sipping. Until I sampled Oakridge's Pinot Meunier, I never had the pleasure of drinking Pinot Meunier as a stand-alone varietal wine, which echoes a high quality Pinot Noir or Cinsault. Just lovely. I'm grateful that Oakridge made a stand-alone Pinot Meunier bottling, not a varietal that people know much …

light and easy drinking. interesting nose, floral, leafy, gamey, denser than your average pinot, some red juicy fruit up front, lingering spicy and clean finish.

Tasted at Oakridge winery in Yarra Valley. Each of us purchased at least one bottle of the 2018 Meunier to take back to San Francisco in our suitcases. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier are the stand-out varietals at Oakridge, but this Meunier was exceptional. Who would of thought Meunier could be this good by itself? Outstanding!

Pinotpalooza (Carriageworks, Redfern) : Gamey, cheesy, liquorice, blackcurrant, liquorice. Juicy, dense, thick, fruit fades quite quickly though. Otherwise okay.
