Garagiste selection 15% ABV Color: dark purple with viscous legs Nose: complex attractive mix of dried dark red fruits. Aromas evolved in the glass with floral notes Body/flavor: medium/full body. Complex flavors of dried fruit, warm spice, mouth filling. Still somewhat tannic with some alcohol Aftertaste: lingering finish In the nine years since drinking my first bottle, the wine evolved and still offers aging potential. Wish a had more!

Certainly not up to initial expectations. This drinks more like a tasty cotes de Rhône than a cnp. But pkeasant all the same. Drink up

Lost in the cellar, but stored well at low temps. Fruit flavor is basically gone leaving a bit of structure, body and the 15%etoh showing. Low acidity. Past it’s prime, but drinkable if you like the style.

Nose of leather, dark fruit, allspice, and earth, more of the same ion the palate, medium/big body, past peak so drink up now is my suggestion, almost elegant, mouth filling fruit, paired with chili which helped, slightly tired fruit, medium finish.

This opened up nicely after some air and was balanced mid weight tasty Grenache and unmistakable cnp. Much better for ´ my e tonight than most seem to experience this wine. Solid with autumn pork stew

This is drinking well now. Still lots of Kirsh and Grenache fruit without any sign of fatigue. Will hold on well for a few years yet.

Another similar showing - very ripe, a little overblown, with a very dry finish. Nice, but a little ripe to have more than a glass. See what it does tomorrow.

Straight from the cellar at cellar temp. Nice nose, somewhat blowsey raspberry cherry Grenache nose, not great persistance. Palate is very dry, think the fruit is drying out some, some sweet cherry and raspberry/currant notes, but lacking any of the meat/garrigue. Probably just good (which these days translates to 87 points)

Horribly overripe. No acid. Aeration was not kind at all to it. Their VdP Vaucluse kicks the absolute shit out of this and a quarter of the price.

No Grenache flamboyance here. Smells nice, but otherwise unremarkable.

Dark color. A bit jammy, but texture is nice. Would prefer a bit more acidity and a touch less alcohol, but a nice glass nevertheless.

Aromas of earthy red fruit. Initial dark fruit flavors with minerality, leather and herbs but the mid-palate breaks down. Lengthy disjointed finish. Heavy sediment.

Unimpressive the first night, stored in fridge overnight and surprisingly found it to be better the second night. Perhaps the colder serving temp helped. Regardless, not a wine I would seek out. Not much going on, but fine for a Tuesday night.

Garagiste Selection Color: Deep purple with lighter garnet edge. Very viscous legs. Nose: Rich, intense aromas of berries, spice (black pepper), and dust Body/flavor: Medium to full bodied, syrupy; complex flavors of concentrated berries, almost jammy. Very well-balanced with good acid and tannins. Although 15% ABV, the alcohol is not noticeable. Finish: Nice lingering aftertaste of berries and warm fruit. Paired beautifully with roast Christmas turkey!

The 2009 are drinking quite well right now. Delicious and representative CdP.

Earthy, black cherry, a little floral, some minerality on the finish. Dry. Decent, but nothing special. 85-86 pts.

Nothing to write home about, tasted like a nice CdR, was priced higher than that. Meh...

Aromas of earthy red fruit. Rich fruit flavors upfront with some minerality and herbs but the mid-palate and finish breaks down. Disappointing finish.

This wine opens with hints of spice, cedar and tobacco on the nose, more of the same in the mouth but the wine is soft and very elegant, a little complexity but definitely the new style of Chateauneuf but it was much better the second night than the first.
