Very nice now. Great balance of fruit, acid and softened tannins. Light on its toes. Subtle oak. Dropped quite a bit of sediment in 17 years. Compares favorably to some top name Bordeaux. Very enjoyable on its own and goes well with a variety of foods. I wish more California cabs were like this.

Very impressive for an almost 16 year old wine. Decanted. A big focused wine, still displaying a beautiful youthful appearance, a rich full body, and a highly complex aroma and flavor profile. Scents and flavors of black currant, blackberry, dark cherry, black coffee, dark chocolate, worn leather and a huge streak of stalky celery and green bell pepper. Long finish. Fresh acidity and a well integrated tannic core provide a solid foundation which has supported development so far, and should …

Still drinking very well. Fully mature with well integrated Napa fruit led by black cherry. Very good.

no different than the other bottle we drank last month. So, it wasn't a matter of it being a bad bottle. It is unfortunately well past its prime

did not age very well. Last bottle I drank was perhaps half dozen years ago, and at that time the wine was magnificent. but it certainly did not get better with additional age

The best of 3 2001 cabs on Xmas, but none blew me away. This had nice tannins and balanced fruit.

Always nice to run to a well made, aged, California Cab. Has all the pieces I look for: berry nose with hints of vanilla, sweet tobacco, and mocha. The mouth delivers the same profile, with the tobacco more pronounced and the mocha becoming a deeper espresso. Long finish.

A wine at it's prime. Huge, even for a cab. Soft velvety tannins. Dark fruit on the palate, minerality on the nose, and long finish.

French like with 13.8% alcohol. Food friendly, smooth, light fruit. Probably best now than later.

Drank this at 7th St. Pop and pour. Drinking very well. Open and elegant with lively fruit and mature, chalky tannins. Solid black fruit with a little olive in the background. Well structured all around. Long finish. Not sure if it's going to get better, but it's great right now.

Smooth and balanced. Dry, but no harsh tannin. Aged fruit is elegant, not overpowering.

Two years since my last bottle and it still feels young. Tannins still dominant - can't tell if more aging will help, as the fruit and other flavors appear to be weakening.

Tannins are beginning to settle as one would expect for a 2001 at this point, though wish they were a bit more settled. Alcohol too strong.

Out of a magnum; decanted for over an hour and consumed over a three hour period. Still in pretty good shape visually; no obvious signs of age. Initially, a little vegetal on the nose but that blew off after twenty minutes in the decanter. Macerated blackberries was the overwhelming characteristic on the bouquet. Then at about 45 minutes in the decanter, it evolved into an alcoholic mess. This period lasted about 30 minutes before it started to blow off and …

So far, the weakest Juslyn I've tried even though this otherwise was a good vintage. Comparable: Billy Ripken.

- Garnet color with slow forming legs and aromas of blackberry. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry and cherry with a medium/full body. Round texture with a long finish - Decanted 1 hour. Nice fruit and tannins on the nose. Good fruit that holds with a long finish. Still time left on this vintage.

Upon removing the cap I noticed that some wine had seeped to the top of the cork and was worried that the wine was ruined, but it was fine. Juslyn is a very nice solid cab. Not mind-blowing but very nice.

Everything I love in a CS. Great structure and balance. BIG mothfeel, lovely finish that slowly fades. Wish I'd bought more! Enjoyed with beef tenderloin and scalloped potatoes.
