Unusual ...savagnin, usually found in Jura, but here, as an IGP Périgord in France's south west. Impressive acidity (M+, if that's your thing), floral, lemon zesty, slightly herbal with a hint of mint. 18 months on lees in small oak, barely noticeable on the nose, but there as a biscuitty creaminess on the palate

schiefe flasche? interessante nase mit muskat, klebstift und zahnpata; im Mund Pfirsich, dann eine unangenehme säure und viel viel alkohol. meh

appearance: medium gold nose: blossom, hint of melon palate: medium+ acidity; medium bodied; a hint of sherbert on the front palate, melon, grapefruit, touch of ginger on the back palate; a very slight oiliness to the mouth feel. V pleasant wine

An intriguing white from the de Conti family. 40/40/20 - Sauvignon/Chenin/Savagnin. Chenin is not an outsider in SW France though not common .Savagnin the grape of Vin Jura is . The Savagnin seems quite dominant though the acidity of the Sauvignon and the stone fruit of Chenin are detectable . Perhaps a wine for food rather than as an aperitif . Definitely a wine of personality .
