Burgundy colored with garnet rim. Perfumed nose of rose petals, maraschino cherries, and orange peel. Slightly tannic, but approachable. Notes of dried cherries, clove, and pepper. This is nicely balanced, somewhat austere, and elegant. Not super complex, but very enjoyable for a Langhe. Very nice to sip on, would be great with a lighter red pasta.

I liked this more than I thought I would from other recent tasting notes. I've never had it before so can't compare its evolution over time, but it was still a solid Nebbiolo.

First ever vintage to be produced of this Alan Manley wine - an exquisite Langhe Nebbiolo playing in the Serie A of LNs. This is a very cool wine. Prosciutto, cherry, violet, earthiness, smoke in a light body. Lots of tannins. Saving my second bottle a few years.

Wow, I guess a lot of producers in the Langhe would be happy to produce such a Barolo. The Nebbiolo‘s from Alan are always very aromatic, the 2019 convinces with sour cherries and violets. The palate is quite demanding and I would probably give this beauty 1-2 more years of bottle age and enjoy it the following 5-10 years.

Beautiful. Light scarlet red, very aromatic nose w. roses and red fruits. Good refreshing acidity, high tannins, med body, strawberries, flowers and some sous bois. Juicy, good length finish. Drink

Really expressive and deeply pitched for its level. There are notes of smoked meats, iron, bouquet garni and black cherry. It is pure and unadulterated, delightfully savoury and long. A thoroughly engaging wine of power and perfume.

Besøk hos Alan (Monforte) : 2019. Særdeles elegant og leken. Kjølig frukt. Konsentrert, fresh og balansert. Sitter lenge med sublime tanniner. Flott årgang med lang vekstsesong. Skulle jeg pirke på noe, måtte det være en ørliten grad mer fruktsødme
