Decanted for ~30-60 min, drank over about 1.5 hrs, served with cheese and charcuterie board. Agree with @scottpreston review - this is a fantastic wine and likely at its peak. Nice dark fruits with blackberry, cassis, some hints of oak and pine, eucalyptus, wintergreen, maybe a touch of olive tapenade at the very end, tannins are soft and fading, smooth, medium-long finish. I feel very lucky to enjoy such a lovely wine with some age at its peak! Drink up …

Outstanding wine in a difficult vintage. I believe this is at peak, but should stay here for 1-3 years. Fruit is all there (blackberry and blueberry) with zero waning. tannins are fading and the wine could turn flabby by mid-decade. But for now this is in a fantastic spot. drink up

Outstanding wine from a tough year. Slightly bitter and decently powerful. A little drier with well-structured tannins.

We are huge fans of Tomahawk, so by the standards of previous years this was a bit of a letdown. Considering the vintage they did the best they could, and it’s still plenty enjoyable, but hotter and greener than others we’ve had.

I've come to expect thin and green wines from napa 2011, but this was a complete surprise. Nothing lacking or unripe about this. Big and voluminous, ripe and sweet and tons of fruit, without getting out of control. Deep red and purple, dark berry, cedar, pine, and I get that sense of volcanic terror. Who knows, it's just good.

Nicely ripe with an unusual hint of sour volcanic ash.

Really good BIG Cabernet, we enjoyed it at a great dinner - it was amazing from the first sip but we let it sit while enjoying a cocktail while it opened up. Highly recommend if you are looking for an expensive 100% Napa Cab.
