This isn't terribly complex but it's great with food. Surprisingly, the most prominent notes are cool herbs like mint and tarragon. The fruit is dark and ripe, like blackberry and cherry, but it plays a clearly secondary role. It definitely needs a decant. I PnP'd and the herbs become pretty clear after an hour or two in the bottle. They made it a fantastic pairing with a peppery steak—I wouldn't hesitate to pair this with lamb in the future. 13.5% vol Mid ruby appearance LOVELY nose: very ripe leading with a blue/black fruit character, an excellent perfume punctuated with red fruits... cassis and raspberry. Very rich attack and tons of flavour. Some grip and a pleasing astringent streak, spicy too - this is a flavour bomb! Generously fragrant, very ripe red elements, fat cherry fruits, a touch of stem and minerals. Good acidity, super intensity... Pow pow! Based on fun I would score it higher!
