Weingut Willi Bründlmayer Pinot Noir Reserve

An upgrade since last taste. So mellow and beautiful smooth. Nose is good too. Only minus is complexity and that it after a day turned more lean.

Medium ruby colour. Red fruit, red cherry, raspberry, and mineral notes, with fresh acidity. Very mineral. Ripe, medium-bodied, and well balanced, with very good persistence. The oak shows in light coffee and light vanilla notes and light oak spice, and is slightly chewy on the finish, but otherwise well-integrated. Very slightly drying on the finish on day two. Very smoothly textured on day three. A good Pinot Noir that only lacks the tension required to spark real interest.
