Jeune et primaire, on sent moins le cab franc, année chaude, tout est en place pour devenir un très bon vin dans 10 ans. Beaucoup de fruit mauve et noir, bien balancé. A peu bouger sur 2 jours.

Tasting ground official tasting, Philippe Alliet Coteau de Noire vertical (Oinoscent) : open 10,00 tasted 11.00 no decant The wine follows the 2007 pattern but with more fruit and thick oak frame. The spicy element is more pronounced too, some sour cherry notes adding freshness, capsicum, shows density and thick core Palate shows lighter body than expected, more red fruit, the oak is still quite pronounced, bold tannins, sweet spices, high acidity, tense, still very youthful, long finish 13.0%alc

Wow this is really good and light and balanced. This is what I wish a lot of the Bordeaux wines I have, were more like! Actually reminds me of a Beta wine Cabernet Sauv from Napa, a lighter and lower alcohol expression of a Cabernet.

Odd but very tasty. Notes of redcurrant and cranberry, with red cherry midpalate, so not what I would expect from a Chinon, very dry and crisp, because it's a 2008, but I enjoyed the lip-smacking, mouth-puckering fruit. I don't think it will improve, but no hurry to finish up yet.

Red fruit (cherries and red current), some black currant as well. Well together, a quite complete Chinon from a cold year.

Really fresh and redfruited with a touch of salmiak. The style appeals to me and should be a perfect match with more refined food. I prefer to drink it at a temperature around 16 to 17 C. Definetley a "must have" in a diversified wine cellar. My picture of the label differs from the previous one....

Lovely cab franc. Nedds 30 mins to air and open. Purple, opaque. Medium+ aroma of squid ink, dried black elderberry, blackcurrant. A bit fo smoke that blew off 10 mins after opening. On the palate more of the same with some additonla woody and spicy (clove?) elements. initial mild acidity on the edge of the palate eases with airing making for a lovely smooth drink

A very coarse vintage this year. But once everything falls into place, this should be a pretty good wine.

Totally different profile compared to the 06 tasted alongside - red cherries and redcurrants on the nose and palate, with only a smattering of blackberry to offset the red fruits. Much leaner but perhaps more elegant as a result. On the second night the red fruits really took off, with a searing middle section that was very impressive. It doesn’t have the same potential as the 06 but still a delicious wine.

Drinking well with pretty red fruit and a pleasantly tart finish.

Nez frais et ouvert sur le poivron rouge, la tomate, peu de tertiaire hormis quelques petites notes de cuir, bouche équilibrée et fraîche, ma bouteille était en fait encore jeune...

Bright aromas of cassis and redcurrant, with quite a lot of leather, leading into a fresh, intense mouthful of the same, quite concentrated in the same way as a Montus is, obviously with different flavours. Good acidity and feel to the middle section and an intense finale. Some brett, but no more than a passing distraction. This is very good and will improve further. Much more satisfying than the Roches Neuves 08 tasted recently.

Dark fruit (cherry, blueberry), nice pepper, nice spice, smooth. Good acidity. Minerality. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable.

Sour cherries, some cassis, the fruit is not hiding the minerality, some acidity, 2008 was not a rich year, nice wine.

Really enjoyed this wine. Polished as typical for Alliet but also as typical for Alliet, Tasty. No need to rush but i like this today. Great fruit with that great acidity associated with the vintage. Very good minerality and herbs along with ample fruit.

Capsicum, charcoal, vegetative and berries. Palate is brawny with tannins coming through quite forcefully. Interesting wine!

comparative of Bran, Alliet Chinon and Fairbank Syrah: tannins very fine, more textured, show throughout the palate. The fav of the three

warm berries with a dark core (perfectly ripe blackcurrant), slightly cedary palate with solid acidity and slightly furry tannins over a slightly velvet backing, nice texture, a bit Bordeaux like (it's the cedary oak perhaps), sanguinous (esp. when cooler) verging on animal hide-like character, perhaps a tad too much acidity but it's OK. Cherry, taught, juicy and fresh, stones, dried damsons - yep. Very good

Vital, vibrant nose of menthol/mint-lifted red and blakc fruits (redcurrent and blackberry), ripe for a Chinon yet some sweet green vegetation underneath; roundish, light and soft, ultra fine sticky-clay-like tannins, good acidity, dark fruit, sanguinous, drying

A private dinner (Hotel Le Saint-James **, Bouliac, France) : Lovely sweet red and black fruit, elegant and minerally, the power of the Coteaux de Noire shows, lovely peppery CF, floral, good depth, great sense of place; on the palate an archetypal young Chinon, lovely sweetness in the fruit but nice and grippy at the same time, well-balanced and vivacious; excellent length, complete, drinking wonderfully well in its youth and with fine potential. Now - 2028.

Nose is great. Plums and tar, tires actually. Vegetal notes but masked by strong ruber... On Palate it doesn't follow yet. Closed a Bit. Put aside to breathe.... Much better now (1hr) Great fruit forward Vegetal notes not overwhelming very happy My friend Steph says" good to the last drop!" ;-)
