Nose of black pepper, cinnamon and black olive. Cherry, leather, leaves, earth and spices on the palate. This wine is a little awkward for 14.5% alcohol, a bit rush and heating. Not my type.

Very good. Pleasantly surprised. Bought this at the winery and so glad we picked this up. Too bad we only bought one bottle. Will be back to get more bottles. Dark berry notes, long finish. Very enjoyable. A steal for the price.

Tasted at Brix in Omaha. Nose: Medium expressiveness, black cherry and black berry with floral notes - violets. Palate: Full bodied, great balance, creamy mouth-feel, nice ripe dark fruit carries all the way through to the back-end where its joined by a hint of smoke (and just a little heat). Finish: Lengthy and satisfying - good stuff.

popped and poured but large bowled glasses. wonderful fruit forward, dark berries, dark color, long toasty spice finish that is round and just the right balance of tannins. I was surprised because I had planned to decant, but not necessary. Just drink slowly and wine will evolve in your glass. Excellent pairing with butterflied leg of lamb on grill

Popped and enjoyed, rich blackberry on the nose, a delicious full bodied, rich syrah. Some dark chocolate, and a complex layered, hedonistic flavor profile of raspberries and a tad of dark cherry...did I mention rich...I really like this.
