Being a few days in the village of Chateauneuf du Pape always gives choice stress. So many producers, so little time. But this big red was high on my list, also due a recommendation in the last Decanter Magazine. Rich, compact yet elegant, juicy and soft with ripe prunes, brambles, figs, smoke, leather and chocolate. The tannins are not fully devolped, but time will solve this issue.
