APPEARANCE: Medium to deep gold colour. No sediment. NOSE: Ripe and mature Riesling fruit, with ripe peach, sweet almonds, top artisan marzipan, green and yellow orchard fruits. (91-92p) TASTE: The arrival is quite rounded, with a sweet fruitiness. On the mid palate it has clearly matured since our last encounter (2015), becoming softer, more supple and sweeter, all the while retaining stony minerality and mouthwatering acidity. Sweet lemons and lemon juice linger on into the aftertaste, which is fairly long. …

This bottle just didn't make it. It had a hard cork that broke on extraction. It had a toasty nose but the flavor was not the toast expected but a flat and dead flavor. I have it in a decanter and on day 2 some of that moderated and made it more drinkable but still not there.

Pulled this out to pair with a chicken casserole and we were all very pleased by this nicely aged Riesling. The cork broke so this was filtered into a carafe. A beautiful golden color that was crystal clear. The lovely Riesling tropical fruit flavors and a touch of citrus were well matched with a light nutty aged character. The acid was still present and the flavor seemed sweet at first but when we drank on, it showed nice acid-sugar balance …

Nose: Maturing Riesling fruit, with peach, pear and some lime. Taste: Initially quite lean, with stony minerality, "green" fruit and rich in acidity. Steely and "clean" Rheingau Riesling. After some airing the fruit evolves, the wine takes on a slight hint of sweet fruit and becomes rounder. Racy, steely, high quality Riesling in early maturity - but not for everybody. Needs air. Should drink well and keep evolving fruit/body and soften acidity over the next 3-5 years (drink until 2020).

light gold colour, delicate texture, perfect balance between fruit and acid with a peach-citrus finish, very good example of a Rheingau Riesling wine, great value wine, not sure if this will improve, great to drink now and the next 2 years

Fine development on the nose with lime, pineapple, green apple, light petrol and "schiefer". Extremely fresh taste, almost electric. Slightly evolved aromas coupled with an astringent stony acid structure, verging on greenness so typical of the vintage (not a problem in this case). You were a beauty from the beginning and leave nothing but fond memories. Last bottle.

2004 Terra Montosa was a terrific wine from word go. This bottle has reached "à point" development with some lovely complex aromatics. Ripe yellow peach, vanilla cooked pear, apple pie, light petrol, jasmin, and almonds. So harmonious, a bit richer and fuller than the bottle we had in march, still lively and fresh with a firm acid/mineral spine that shows no greenness. Super enjoyable and rewarding. Had with fried plaice the danish way.

Still so young, so fresh, so mineral. White floral notes and light petrol, understated fruit. Slender body, electric acidity, sinewy and boney structure, lots of aromas, great intensity and lenght. Several years to go.

Wow! I've never experienced something like that before. I bought this one some days ago for a rather reasonable price. I took this opportunity before, but this time it was a complete faliure. I think the bottle stood upright all its life. The cork was so dry there was no chance to to open it. Anyway I had to try it and so I simply pressed the cork into the bottle. Hey I never had "Rheingau Sherry" before. In such …

Pale yellow with green glints. Rock city. As it opens some tropical passion fruit in the nose. In the mouth it is feather light but with stern lemony acidity. Very nice balance and finish. My first Breuer wine. A very masculine style of Riesling, I like it. On day two it hasn't budged much. The acidity in this wine is like steel. I think it would be best to leave this one in the cellar right now.

Consumed over couples of days, amazing. I dont remember details but clearly there was a totaly intergreated acidity and nice mineral tones. A nice body, well balanced.

a crush reco that is a terrific wine- tremndous purity of fruit with serious minerality- the nose is all tropicl fruits with a hint of graphite- the palate is very long and impeccably balanced- not at peak or even close.

Incredibly delicious minerals and somewhat austere notes of green apples. On the palate very apetizing, high and quite tough acids that carry on to a long aftertaste. Very promising vintage for the cellar. Give it five years to let the exotic fruit and petrol character develop. Nice-price mix of younger vines and second best parcels from all the Breuer Berg vineyards, in a cooler, elegant vintage.
