Popped and poured. Had low expectations for this old bottle but it was quite nice actually. Fully integrated, smooth, plenty of fruit, enjoyable for 90 min or so until gone. Was bought on release and stored in cellar since.

Plomme i ettersmaken.

No sediments at all. Hm! Ruby red. Earthy and developed aromas with old wood, leather and some cellar. Not at all fruity and generous, but rather rustique, restrained and old fasioned.

Not really there yet. A bit dull phase now the way I judge it. Drinks ok, but a bit out of balance. Will get there.

A good wine today. Nose of marzipan and fruits. Still some oak, even if it's 3,5 years since I tasted this wine last time and the oakyness should have subsided a bit since then. Still not completely integrated. Palate is powerful fruit and a succulent sweetness to it. A bit drying tannins in the end but really dominated by the cherry fruit and gives lots of nice and balanced power. Like it a lot but it lacks a bit of …

Getting there, but not singing still. Air if drunk now.

Varm frukt, mye krydder (retning julekrydder) og litt kaffe. Herlig i anslaget, men blir fort litt plump. Tørrer ganske mye i ettersmaken.

I'm a real fan of this wine, it has a rich flamboyant character with a suave, velvet texture, a real mix of red and blue fruits and no shortage of sappy extract. Lovely winemaking.

Dry. Not fruit foward. Not getting much earth if any at all. Flat. Disappointing.

Ruby red color. Marzipan and vanilla on the nose. The palate shows oak and vanilla, some tannins, good balance. This is a remarkably well-balanced volnay. The oak and tannins are prominent, but never overpowering. They are nicely integrated in the wine. There seems to be a little fruit as well, but disguised as of now. The finish lasts 10-15 seconds. I think this wine needs cellaring to show more fruit. It is now hiding behind the oak and tannins.

A charming and silky wine, elegant, drinking very well "sur le fruit" (ripe red cherries and raspberries) but has excellent balance, nice minerality and freshness. An exemplary 2009 villages.

Obviously way too young, as indicated by the dark red colour and the purple rim. Nose with nice red fruit and a nice depth of red berries, some earth, a nice mineral tone and some spices. Great fruit on the palate and a terrific balance! OK concentration and a great length on the finish. Wonderful now, will close down within a few years and reappear as a fantastic flower. I cannot say that the fruit on this one is on …

Blue and red fruits, roasted earth, with nice mineral underpinnings. The money is in the palate, which is silky elegant with nice fruit and minerality. Wish it were a bit less expensive, but I am buying more.

Solid; nice red fruit, slight tinge of blue fruit (almost a minty element) when first opened, blew off with about 30 minutes of air.

-- popped and poured -- -- tasted non-blind over 2 days -- NOSE: tight to moderately expressive, but nonetheless complex; cool blue and red berry aromas intermixed with some gentle woodsy/underbrushy spice; reserved note of strawberry Twizzlers; mild oak; like walking in the woods on a brisk autumn day; not funky; approx. 3.5 hours after opening, the spice and oak intensified and the fruit receded somewhat. Nose was pretty much the same on Day 2 as Day 1, except a …

From barrel: (on the Pommard side) Nice fruit, but less bright than the A.D. Made with whole clusters
