Minty black fruit on the nose, eucalyptus, currant, blackberry and wood on the palate, big bodied wine with American influence, rich, layered, wonderful with NY strip steaks

Decanted for two hours. The colour of the Chianti-based Cabernet is just captivating: Garnet and violet, with a thin ruby rim. Currant paste, blackberry, ripe cherry and coffee liqueur; the nose is evolving showing some crushed rock later on. There's a slight mineral quality on the long and savory finish. Very elegant and still voluptuous, with well-strewn tannins. Decant or wait a year. Drink 2014 - 2022.
