Plančić Plavac Mali Pharos Grand Cru Dubje

On the nose, very animalistic. On the palate concentrated, overripe berries, not too complex. In the finish, a lot of tannins, slightly green and bitter. Medium Body, medium finish.

Paul B and gang in Turku (Kaarina) : Decanted for 1.5 hours. I've been waiting for this one and tonight was the night to open it. Fantastic bouquet of lavender, lingonberry, wonderfully complex, oozing with the blazing sun of Hvar, truly excellent! The palate followed, with lingonberry, bitter chocolate, lots of tannins, just great. This is ripe and ready now, but would surely go on for another decade easily.

Plančić tasting (Plančić winery) : Woops, this one is really fantastic, very aromatic, with wild herbs like rosemary and lavender, crunchy lingonberry, gritty tannins. Ready now and will last for a while, truly great!
