pale ruby-garnet colored / nose: intense, ripe fruits like dark cherries and strawberries, smoked bacon / palate: high but smooth acidity, low tannins, medium bodied, very good length, very juicy, raspberry, dark cherries / overall: Niklaus Zahner takes the 6 best barrels of 44 and makes the Réserve du Patron. A very good pinot noir from Zürich AOC. 8/10 (special plus for intensity and length, deduction for balance).
