Moderate ruby in the glass. Nose is quite restrained, but with a bit of air in the glass, opens up to notes of blackcurrant, dark cherry, garam masala and some white pepper. Medium-bodied with ripe, grippy tannins, medium (+) acidity and a lovely 13% alcohol. This is not a simple wine by any means, but one that really peels off layers as you drink it. Would be curious to see how it develops in the years to come.
