Opened up another bottle and paired with a lamb stifado. Intense and aromatic with high acidity. Tannins are quite soft. Ripe cherries, blackcurrant, olives and figs in a long finish.

A disappointment. Lots of tannins and oak. A little tobacco and sloan, maybe some dried fruits. Will probably not improve with cellering.

Ruby with a garnet rim. Shows sour cherry and cranberry aromas on its nose. The palate is more about tannins rather than fruit and it is quite drying on the aftertaste without its support.

1st International Xinomavro Day (Oinoscent) : Slopes of Paiko PGI goumenissa The wine shows a rather deep colour. The wine shows density in the nose, high intensity of very ripe red fruit, toast, oak, earthy and spices. The wine shows medium body and tannins, very oaky, chocolate, aggressive drying tannins, medium finish. Excessive and clumsy use of oak, don’t think will ever integrate
