Nose: Dark cherry and mild dark oak. Palate: bitter dark cherry, guava, balanced structure. It definitely needed time to open up, but towards the end of the bottle, the wine was really singing.

Smooth initially with a tad bit of sourness. Good overall, but not at all worth the cost.

Ripe berry fruit of cherry and plum – highly extracted. Herbal layer with an earthy angle. Somewhat austere palate, out of sync acidity and tannins. This was either a bad bottle (but no signs of any faults) or then this changed dramatically from a couple of years ago.

Opened for AKS birthday. It was awesome. Seems to have a lot of finerry. Almost chewy. Love it!

This is a stunner. Beautiful smooth and soft tannins with delicious flavors of raspberry, dark cherry and plumb. A soft lovely, but lingering finish. Fabulous!

Not so sure about the PVR here; lot’s of money for that wine. Medium red color, bright edges. Nose: dominant alcohol/acids, some spiciness, some thyme, ripe strawberry , raspberries and black cherries. Similar on the palate; plenty of sweetness (again ripe black cherries). Medium finish. Overall too much on the sweet / fruity side of things, lacks elegance and complexity for me.

Whats not to like in this wine? Fresh red fruit with some citrus oils and floral notes; beautiful balance with good depth. Improved over 3 hours. Better in another 3 years, but super tasty now.

The nose is perfumed and elegant with deep tones of red cherries, fresh picked red berries, pomegranate, spice notes, crushed rocks, red flowers, and some earth tones. The Full bodied feel is refined and elegant with crisp, medium+ acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. The structure does show a fair bit of youth, but it also doesn’t dominate too much. This is really sexy now and I can certainly see it improving with some age.

Nose starting off with sour cherry, strawberry jam, and sugar coated raspberry. Initially also fleshy and mineral, but changing into fruit-driven. But even then still nicely complemented with light, savory herbs and yeasty elements. The fruit profile adds darker cherry and lighter rhubarb features. Juicy palate with smooth tannin and some weight to it. A varied and versatile wine that performed from the get go without a decant. But patience from bottle age will definitely be rewarded.

Oregon Pinots (and other wines) : medium-dark yet translucent ruby in the glass. the nose is initially dominated by red and black fruits, but slowly earthy and spicy notes come forth to round out the bouquet. medium-bodied in the mouth, there is fresh brightness to the fruit that mellows going thru the palate as spices, mineral touches and dusty tannins gain some prominence toward the savoury finish that still rings fruity. it seems to be developing quite nicely, but is …

Best of the Best of Oregon (K&L Wine Merchant - San Francisco) : Aromas of a more intense forest funk but it knows how to walk properly (some of it blows away with time), once the funk goes away, the fruits clear up to become more like dark cherries with a touch of plums and red roses. The palate was giving red cherries and a soft touch of plums, reflecting the palate completely. The funk is gentle and in the …

Better than most California Pinot but still a bit disappointing; pleasant and easy to drink but not much depth to it; simple wine
