Opened up nicely. Poured through Vinturi. Nice and smooth.

PnVnD. Started consuming after 20 minutes in decanter. Generally consistent with my prior notes. With reasonable time to acclimate after aeration this is an enjoyable and approachable offering. Not dark and brooding, but open and expressive. Earthy nose; taste is more towards stone fruits persisting through mid-palate, with sufficient tannins and heat to suggest this might have some life left. Rated "good" (83-85).

Popped and poured several ounces into two glasses - one straight from the bottle and one through a vinturi. Based on comparison I PnVed the remainder of the bottle into a decanter and let it settle down for about 15 minutes. Consumed over the next four hours with a dinner of spicy beef and bean burritos. Garnet color. nose is earthy, with elements of cedar, new leather, and red fruits. On the palate red fruits come out from the start, …

Meh. Oriel ought be careful for fear of impugning their hundreds of varietals under one name. However, much better on the second night, still not that good. Comparable: Melky Cabrera.

Very dry and tart. Let it breathe for an hour minimum.

This time a bit too much overripe flavors, e.g. prune

Drinking really nice right now. Popped and airated for about 30 minutes and was pleasently surprised from the balance of fruit. 90-92

Garnet-toned purple. Raspberry, leather, cedar, and earth nose. Light to medium bodied, aging strawberries, slightly sour cherries, spices, pepper, fully integrated tannins, smoke, and a medium to long finish. Like a good pinot with an extra kick.

3 hours in decanter. Amber and brick hues in the glass. Lovely soft minerals, oak, dust, and mature fruit on the nose. Medium body in the mouth with tart berries and slight tannin that give this wine a delightful buoyancy. Everything good about a Spanish wine. A delightful drink. With food (roast chicken dinner), delicious ripe plumb flavors were exposed.

Right in prime drinking age. Light in texture, a touch dry, sour cherry on the palate

this bottle was a lot better - I guess the other ones were just off-bottles. nice red fruit and leather nose , still a little sharpness of sour-cherries on taste and a warmish finish

Started off with some funkyness that blew off after 20-30mins. Had a smooth, red fruit taste, but really lacks any tannins or depth. As the night went on almost seemed to get thinner. Might be a sign it's past it's peak? For $15 worth it as a nice weekday drinker, but don't think you're geting a complex bottle of wine.

past it's best - it tasted of cork-mold and the tannins ware almost metallic. I would have believed the bottle itself was bad - but I had same vintage @ a tasting a couple of weeks earlier ( after I had purchased !) and it was the same - so my expectations were rock bottom. this is past its prime - IGNORE!

Really good, vibrant acids sort of like pie cherries, some oak, light mouthfeel.

Opened and Decanted 2 hours Color: Ruby red (poor lighting, take with a grain of salt) Not dark and dense like some priorats Nose: Not very odoriferous but what is there: Raspberry, Marsipan, Vanilla, and floral (rose) notes Palate: Cherry/Raspberry, not fully concentrated. These backed by vanilla, almond, and some nutmeg. Balanced acidity. Feel: Medium body, Zero tannin I like this wine, especially at $15. The biggest knock I have is that it lacks concentration. Great QPR, Mid level wine

Deep red in the glass with lush nose of red fruits and tobacco. Smooth and velvety with red berries, plums, and warm spice. Firm tannic structure; should continue to improve for a few years yet. Lovely.

Drank with chuck and lane who liked it. Kind of a strange taste at first that fades after 30 mins into a nice standard Priorat. Heavy and complex. Liked it a lot, but it's at it's peak.

Fantastic wine. This hit my pallet perfectly. Saturated medium warmish ruby in color. Not pitch black like many of the monster wines coming out of Priorat (I view this as a good sign). The nose is incredibly appealing, showing obvious plum skin/ black fruit, cedar box, cigar tobacco, and baked earth. In the mouth, it attacks with the same plum skin I got on the nose, and then quickly moves to oaky/cedary flavors in the form of cocoa and coffee, …
