Italian white from Emilio Romano (88) with Oysters and other starters - smoked salmon, ham and tuna. Bone dry, nice acidic edge - excellent with starters and oysters. Aglianico was super - rich, mouth filling, exciting. Wish we had more - 91 - yum.

Rich colour, almost opaque ruby/purple with a very slight hint of bricking. Quite powerful aromatics. Lots of cherry, floral, blueberry, vanilla, touch of earth, graphite. Full bodied, mod-high tannin an =d acid, could keep a while. Powerful and rich. Bit of dried fruit character as the wine opened up. Med-long finish. Quite good, not excellent.
