Bitter sweet...my last 2010. These Borg's are SO Chambolle satisfying on the cheap...it's too bad they aren't produced anymore. The 10 is still gorgeous...pretty cloudy redberry color...looks like fresh pressed fruit! Silky translucent laciness fruits of cranberry, cherry, and wild strawberry...some bright and tart blood orange sours...more integrated sous bois...not as "dirty" as last bottle...just KILLER pretties of raspberry jam, cherry blossom, tilled strawberry fields, red licorice...everything is SO subtle and elegant...not the most complex or showboat kind of wine...just …

Tasted over 1.5 hrs -semi-translucent med red mild bricking -wet stone red apple peel cherry faint sous bois -med/med+ acidity, light/med- weight crisply tart apple peel mineral saline, good length with med- tannins -lively fully mature brilliant Bourgogne remarkably complex and thoroughly delicious, no anticipated upside but will likely still drink very well for many more years; sadly my last bottle but fascinating to see how this has evolved over 8 years

Light in color. Soft as a pillow, showing gentle strawberry fruit and sous bois notes. In a perfect drinking spot and I agree with PKnut that the fruit is starting to fade. Lovely wine and nice experience after 2 corked bottles.

I like the light weight and purity, and I am reminded of the phrase soil-to-glass transfer, but the fruit is just starting to fade here and I would escalate the drinking window.

Unfortunately these Bourgogne's are become scarcer and scarcer...but if you can find them...they are SUCH a joy! This 10 is drinking a little dirty...but not is a bad way...sous bois starting to show, earth mulch and mushroom forest...but still posses that trademark Bertheau vibrant cherry and strawberry fruits...elegant femininity...silky Chambolle feel, perfect light framed balance of mineral salinity and sweet red berry fruit...with subtleties of licorice, raspberry tea, tilled wheat field, strawberry jam. SO much joy in these simple Bourgogne's...makes …

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -semi-translucent pale red-purple, minimal bricking -somewhat reticent stony cranberry mineral cherry -med+ acidity, light weight but explosive energy with mineral tart cherry cranberry bitter red apple skin, good length, med- tannins -wow this is just about perfect now and should be fantastic for another few years, a lightweight bundle of red fruited energy and pure joy

PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs and day 2 -gorgeous semi-translucent light-med ruby with purple -cherry stony minerality -med+ acidity, light weight but very sappy persistence with bright not quite tart cherry cranberry decent complexity and impressive length, wisp of tannic structure; just as vibrant and more depth on day 2 -a very pretty, knockout Bourgogne that is very 2010 and very Guillemot, drinking excellently now and no hurry; even better on day 2, with a little more depth and complexity …

Last one and another fine example of 2010, Guillemot, and basic Burgundy. Mellow spice, cherry and forest floor on the nose. Crunchy red fruit and lithe body on the palate with a pleasing cranberry finish. 99 points! Not really - Very Good.

Continues to show very nicely, with strawberry, rhubarb and even some light watermelon notes, and terrific purity. Don and Liz's.

Significantly contracted since last time. Still some spice notes peeking through. Seems to have gone to sleep. Wait a few more years.

Michael M opened this when I stopped by at Domaine. Not bad at all for an entry level Bourgogne Rouge. Enticing nose of primary fruit: strawberry and raspberry, with a touch of spice, some stone, and a bit of earth. It's not very complex, but the fruit is crisp and clear - showing that 2010 purity. The palate is a little more tart, with strawberry, rhubarb, some raspberry, maybe a little citric acid feel, some earth and spice. Nothing fancy …

Another disappointing bottle of this third-rate bourgogne. Surprising coming from Bertheau.

Started being much too acidic, but after being open 2 hours became more typical with nice acidity and lovely, straightforward fruit. Took a little long to get there but once again a pleasure to drink. Very Good.

Tried one of these and, much as I am loathe to vary from PKnut's assessment, found it excessively acidic and sour, lacking the fruit to carry the structure. Normally I'm an acid freak and love the regionals; I'm a fan of the vintage and producere; but I could not find much to like in this bottle.

Stemmy indeed, reveals a big vibrant red fruit mass cloaked in a lovely 2010 high acid pitch behind the stemmy musk. Oh so food friendly--great w duck confit salad. the stems connect so neatly with the sautéed beech mushrooms.

Lovely wine for the price. Shows very good purity and lightness while conveying gentle Pinot flavors and hints of baking spices.

Little heft or structure but lovely forward red berry fruit which is so rare in Burgundy reds at this entry level. Delicate and delicious. No one could dislike this simple but elegant offering. Recommended.

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -light, bright red -intense stoniness dominates, some spice and very bright red fruits -med acidity, lighter weight, med- concentration, simple pleasant bright red fruits, fine med- tannins, pretty and simply gorgeous at 2hrs -very nice for its level, representative example of the vintage and producer, lacks a little structure now

Very good. Nice aromatics on opening, a glassful of fruit as well as some baking spice notes. I am not sure if the banking spices are oak-derived, as there are no other aspects of oak on the nose or palate. Drank over two nights, with no degradation. By the second night, the fruit shows many tones, from cherries to strawberry high notes and even a bit of watermellon. There is a femininity to this wine, along with darker bottom bass …

While I don't think this stands up to the relative quality of the rest of the Bertheau lineup (which I love!), it does have a charming creamy red fruit aroma. On the palate, this bottle was a bit better than the previous two, but still seems a bit thin and hollow.

Drunk during BBQ. Remember the typical crunchy fruit of a '10 Guillemot, but have no specifics. Remember it as Very Good.

Another delicious bottle. This wine is all about the fruit, not because it's a fruitbomb pinot, which it is not, but because the crunchy cherry, strawberry and cranberry stand out so memorably amidst the nice minerality, earth, spice and stems. A great match for the rockfish with lemon, butter and thyme. Very Good to Excellent.

Even at the bourgogne level, rather disappointing, particularly given the other lovely wines from Bertheau. While it shows an elegant and weightless texture, it's simple and nondescript, with a bit of a bitter finish.

Really good stuff. Barnyard and red fruit on the nose. Earth, cherry, cranberry, mineral and a wee touch barnyard as well on the palate. Touch rustic but oh so tasty. Very Good.

Excellent QPR. Bright nose of tart cherries and minerals / earth. Good balanced palate - not too much fruit, not too much minerality. Light tannins and acidity on the finish. Definitely plan to get a few more bottles of this one!

A beautifully made wine at this price point. Light translucent coloring. Plenty of terroir showing -- earth, mushroom and wet peat. Subdued fruit. Plenty of balance and a long finish. Classical alcohol level at 12.5% support an overhaul food friendly wine drinking experience.
