60% Touriga Franca and 40% Touriga Nacional. Very dark ruby. No substantial bricking. Blackberry, mushroom, lemon peel, forest floor, grilled meat. Getting quite complex now. A big wine. Surprisingly young. A stong wine. I'm sipping it, not drinking it. Really sold. Very good acidity. Paired perfectly with lasagna. It really needs food. I don't think that this will fall apart any time soon. A very good, very long lived wine. 90 points.

Dark ruby - almost opaque with minimal clearing at rim. Medium aromas of black fruit/ leather and tobacco. Medium palate of ripe black fruit with medium(+) well integrated tannins. Medium acidity. Drinking well now and palate appears to be fading. Would drink up.

No notes taken. Dark and brooding but with a sweet component. Well balanced but with plenty of life left.

60% Touriga Franca and 40% Touriga Nacional, Bottled June 2009, 9 months in French oak barrels the rest in stainless steel if I recall correctly, which is a really long time give this is a $14 wine. A combo of tart and dark fruit, light tannins, and oddly an espresso note that belies its 10 year age. No dips or drop-offs in this across the palate and finish. This is a pretty straight forward but pleasant wine, one that drinks …

Smoky, anise, and ripe fruit. May have been a year past prime but still robust. Had it with churrosco.

Solid wine. Balanced, hit those Douro notes, finish a little short and not quite enough complexity, but hey, great value here. Tannins and acid high enough that this will get better with age too.

Didn't take detailed notes but this bottle was way better than the previous. This one was put together well in terms of balance and structure. But most importantly it was enjoyable to drink!

Better than last time-Who knows why. This time it seemed to have a voice, so to speak. Something to say, a personality, call it what you will. It was more interesting. Not great, but harmonious, in balance, and interesting.

Very tart cherry, some (too much) oak, really brought to mind pizza to counter the tart ful flavor. Nothing special will not buy again. First Douro not too impressed, would welcome any recommendations

Quite palatable, but not really anything too special in my opinion. My first Douro.

With pork chop and roasted Vegees - fruits of the forest and earthy notes but with damson in the mid range. Tannins are more obvious after an hour and it does need food but very drinkable now and sensibly priced for everyday drinking.
