The same if not better than the one I had 1.5 years ago. Crunchy, ripe, juicy... hard not to drink the whole bottle.

Great wine! Really nice ripe crunchy fruit. Almost cru bojo like (09) in some ways. Undercurrent of minerals. Shortish finish. A really cleanly made wine. Not a thinker's wine, but definately enjoyable to drink. Does wells sans food.

medium body, dry currant, herb, dust; some alfalfa, good balance and typicity; enjoyable; different on day 2 with more focused currant, stone, pepper, and less veggie; good structure; not sure why i dont rate this higher as it is just right with the veggie risotto and reminds me why i like cab franc; worth repurchasing at $16.99

We liked this wine a lot. Dry, tannic, and lots of cab frank veggie flavor. definitely better 30 minutes and 60 minutes after opening. interesting and kind of austere. but the flavor is not too dark --- almost no tobacco flavor, which I would have guess from how dark the wine is in appearance and from how dry it is.

This followed the '06 Alliet Chinon and probably suffered from the comparison. Grassy (typical of '07, especially sand/gravel terroirs), animal funk, berries and cream on the nose. Soft and creamy on the palate with spicy green notes and citric flavors. Easy to drink and while not flabby, had less structure than I'd hoped. This is good, just not as edgy as I like my Loire Franc.

Tart, sour cherry with whiffs of barnyard at open. It then becomes soft and white peppery with the tart fruit. This is a fun wine.
