Christmas Wimps 2025 - Teddy Ruxpin (La Trompette) : Structured, sure, but also very airy and elegant. Earth-toned and a hint of liquorice. Probably too subtle to appreciate it fully based on a small taste, but the balance and quality were evident.

2005 Red Burgundy Retrospective - Day II (Saint Urban) : Warm bready nose. Pure clean red cherry fruit. Notably clearer / more vibrant in colour in the glass than the others. Palate open now too. Candied red cherry. Already very pretty. This is the wine of the flight to buy.

Super tasty! Drank next to 05' Mugneret Gibourg clos vougeot, which was also great, but I slightly preferred this bottle

Zachys La Paulée "Warm-up" Dinner (Lafayette - New York NY) : Small glass, brief note. So much black and red cherry with raw meat. Both great power and balance. Wow, this is so impressive not just for its sheer weight and scale (expected), but its charm and accessibility (unexpected).

Charmes dinner. Wine of night for me. Plasticky and pure. Wow.

"Ready to drink" now! Delicious with Guinea Fowl.

Infanticide. A little disjointed now though obviously a monumental wine in the making. The intense sweet bright red fruit was overwhelming and overriding the unexpectedly reserved and fine structure. This wine needs time. First bottle was corked.
