Another very enjoyable bottle of this northern Italian white. Decanted for 20 minutes. Lemon and minerality on both the nose and the medium to plus bodied palate, along with some pear, yellow apple and nicely balancing acidity. Should continue to hold.

Removed from the fridge and slo-oxed for 20 minutes -- to allow the frizzante to dissipate and the wine to open. Again, a fruity but nicely balanced version of Arneis. The palate is medium to plus bodied with notes of orchard fruit (peach, yellow apple), citrus (lemon), minerality, a touch of herb and balancing acidity. Really a delightful wine. Should continue to hold.

This is my wife's favorite wine, crisp, refreshing with a slight effervescent minerality. It's a dry wine suitable for those hot summer days and with salmon, seafood and pasta dishes with cream base. Just became available locally at our grocery store!

Another highly enjoyable bottle of this wine after a 20 minute slo-ox to allow the frizzante to dissipate and the wine to open and warm from fridge temp.

Slo-oxed for 20 minutes and the resulting experience can be summed up perfectly by my previous TN of 10/29.

“Blangè combines organic practices in the vineyard with a modern style of winemaking. Considered a still white wine, Blangè is made in a unique manner. A natural level of dissolved CO2 is left in the wine upon bottling to present a light spritz upon opening. This “spritz” of CO2 is endogenous, being produced naturally by the yeast during the alcoholic fermentation. By cooling the tanks to 0 degrees, fermentation is stopped, a slight pressure (below 0.5 bar) is retained and …

This wine continues to delight, especially after a 15-20 minute slo-ox to allow the wine to open, and the frizzante to dissipate. Orchard fruit, lemon and minerality on the palate along with nicely balancing acidity, make this wine a pleasure to drink. Should hold for several years.

VLGJEFF, is correct about the characteristic " frizzante" of small bubbles found on opening of this wine....a one hour decant corrects that.... On nose: green peach and golden apple. On palate: above flavour notes singing, with bitter almond, faint wisps of thyme, stony minerals and lemon pith making up the profile.....all displayed on a lean, but substantial body, framed by a civilized 13.5% alcohol reading .....a very pleasant seafood wine, not quite up there with 2017 Bruno Giacosa of memory....but …

Upon initial opening this wine shows a light frizzante. After being open for about 10-15 minutes this frizzante dissipates leaving a most enjoyable wine with a very pleasant mouthfeel. The color was a light straw yellow. Minerality and some citrus on the nose. The medium to plus bodied palate shows orchard fruit (peach, pear, yellow apple), citrus (lemon), minerality and a touch of herb, with nicely balancing acidity and is a pleasure to drink. Should hold for several years.

Pale, light straw in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of lemons/limes, grapefruit & pear with overtones of floral notes of honeysuckle & minerals, stony & almonds. Light bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth texture, crisp, ripe fruit flavors of lemons/limes, white grapefruit & apples, stony & minerals. Crisp lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present although it may develop further with an additional year or two of further aging.

This bottle was very similar to our previous bottle five weeks ago except that it was just not as fresh. This is the first of eight bottles that we bought after enjoying that first bottle at Tiro. Maybe we just need to let these bottles rest a bit...?

Columbia Dinner at Tiro A Segno : A really wonderful and fruity, but nicely balanced, version of Arneis. More enjoyable than some of the thinner and more acidic versions. PnP, but better after about 20 minutes of air, chilled. The palate is medium to plus bodied with notes of orchard fruit (peach, pear, yellow apple), citrus (lemon), minerality and a touch of herb. This wine is very lightly frizzante with just the right amount of acidity to balance everything. It …

Nice wine, very light and technical, devoid of defects but at the same time lacking merits that could distinguish it from the crowd. Perhaps more about marketing than winemaking. Bel vino, molto scarico e tecnico, privo di difetti ma allo stesso di pregi che possano distinguerlo dalla massa. Forse più marketing che enologia

Aiolos Tasting (Intercontinental Hotel) : Fresh, sweet fruit notes, peach, apricot flesh notes, next to some green notes. Palate is different, there is a co2 residue here adding freshness, sweet fruit notes, green apple notes, med body and finish. A wine to have by the glass

DAWGS Offline - June 28, 2006 (Caravelle, Richardson, TX) : WIMLNR,NOWA,WS81 Tasted June 28, 2006 at an offline. Made from 100% Arneis. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Weiss Wein glass. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Very light nose of some diesel and a little floral note. Virtually no fruit on the palate, maybe a little mineral/limestone. Others may disagree but I really think this wine should have been drank sometime last year. No …

Drank this with homemade tortellini in brodo-a succesful match. Beautiful golden-hued straw color. Freshly aromatic notes of pear, apple and some almond on the nose. Full and viscous in the mouth, but with some nice acidity. Not terribly complex, but quite good and surprisingly well balanced for an '03. Still, slightly expensive at 24 bucks a bottle, but very tasty.

Pale golden colour. Clean aromas of apples, pears, cream, and white flowers. Palate of pear and citrus, but very crisp and focused. Nice finish, ~30-40s with no bitterness that is found in some Arneis (this is due to a small amount of residual sugar allowed to remain in the wine) and has pear notes continuing through. A very well made wine and a new experience for me.
