This bottle was a bit more filled out than the one a few months ago. There are some wood and oxidation influences that add depth, with a finish that maintains freshness and precision. Better focus on the back end here than with the previous sample. Continue to hold for a few years minimum. 92-ish (stretch to 93?). Previous note from June 4, 2025 applies otherwise.

While the No.15 I sampled not too long ago was balled up and a bit linear, but still providing nice verve and energy, I find this No.13 to be somewhat thin and diluted by comparison. The flavors are well placed, with an alluring oxidized vein that runs through the profile, but weight-wise it is on the medium-minus side. A week in Paris- to ease the bite of it; 5/9/2025-5/14/2025 (Paris, France) : This was gorgeous right out of the gate with Beautiful, deft, and lovely tones of red apples, stone fruits, pears, vanilla beans, birthday cake, nougat, almond paste, spring flowers, lemon peels, toast. This is pure refinement and elegance while it shows off a great amount of depth. The Medium bodied feel is so balanced and poised with racy, high acidity that makes your mouth water. This …

Opened 4 hours prior to tasting. The late disgorged version. Very good and even though showed better than the Comtes De Champagne 2013 served side by side, with a few more years of bottle ageing, the Comtes will be the better wine.

Plot of old vines in Chouilly. Dsg 06/2023 On the nose of toasted bread, apple, chalk, citrus and custard. The palate confirms the sensation seen on the nose, namely long maturation on lees. The juice is coated in beautiful flavors of honey and custard. The acidity, quite high, but without any imbalance, propels the wine with aromas of citrus and chalk on a beautiful finish where freshness largely dominates. Great length although the whole thing is still a little compact. …
