Kerralee Merlot

The District Food and Wine Frolic (Haig Park, Braddon, Canberra) : Clear. Medium ruby with tears. Sediment is present. Clean, developing nose with medium intensity aromas showing raspberry and leather. There are very subtle chocolate notes indicating the use of oak. The wine is dry with medium acidity, medium(+) body, and medium alcohol. The tannins are of medium level, are more mouth-filling than expected and hold onto the gums.
