Hobo Wine Company Zinfandel Branham Vineyard Rockpile

This is really a straight line from my last note. Briary, dusty fruit all in a svelte package, it's like Kenny and Lynn have found the perfect suit for Zinfandel. A way to keep it contained and vibrant while letting the sunshine through. This is superb at the table and while I'll probably save a bottle for science, it is in its prime drinking window.

Shazaam! Looks like this is *starting* to open up a bit although it is still a tense wine for Zinfandel reminiscent of the claret style Zinfandel from the 80s. Briary and dusty with spices surrounding a strong core of fruit that tends towards the red side. The last glass is what got me so excited as it seemed to pop in that beautiful way that wines can. This seems to be closing up a bit. I had really lovely bottles earlier in the year and I believe in this wine, just showing a ton of structure right now. Will give it at least a year before I try another bottle.
