Wow - got this in a silent auction in 2010, and am so sorry I wasted the refrigeration on it. Don't get me wrong, it's ok. At best. Not alot of that Cali fruit I love, very mellow. As a "Special Reserve" from Diamond Mountain I expected more structure. It's sorta like a trust fund baby decided they wanted to make wine. No clue if that is the truth or not. A "so so to good" Monday night "I'm bored" …

Dark red, quite purplish on the rim Nose very closed, some violet, dark berry fruit, quite closed on palate very reticent to come out, tannic On second day a bit more forward, still quite tannic but more fruity. Probably another 3-4 years away from being a pleasurable drink

I had never heard of Reverie until last week when I was at a friend's house and he gave me a bottle. In fact, there are very few Diamond Mountain wineries that are on my radar, with the exception of Diamond Creek. So, when I got this bottle home, it didn't take long to dive in and see what was in the bottle. Very nice juice, I must say. This is a big, age-able wine from Napa, but not in …

Opaque and purple-black in glass, nose of petrol-laced black fruit. Palate opens with black currant, blackberry and evolves in mid and back palate with cedar and herbs, in a mid-life stage now and drinking exceptionally well, but bound to improve over the next 5+ years. A stunning wine of power and complexity that could easily carry a cult label. Long finish.

A very well made CA cab that hits all the right notes. Well integrated tannins, nice balance of fruit and acid. What a CA cab should be. Well done.

Good but I don't know what the fuss is about. Solid calicab. More fruit than fire.

Drinking perfectly now, and will go on for several more years. Terriffic balance and integration of fruit, round tannins and structure. Classic black fruits on palate, long lingering finish. This is truly a reference wine for California cabernet.

One of our favorites. Highly structured, well balanced with good acid and great fruit. Inky in color and superb all around wine. Grab if you can...
