Banana! Some slight acidity in the finish. Not very complex. I don’t feel strongly about about this. Not bad as a table wine or to serve to non-wine friends.

I am trying to learn to pair my wine---While a pot of Chili was cooking, I checked and Alvarinho was suggested. I was so pleasantly surprised at how well it went.

A bit alkaline and steely on uncorking. Opens up to a bright lemon and faint lychee without cloying sweetness. Not overly complex but went well with scallops. Short finish. Almost no nose at all. Ultimately a decent wine, good for pairing with dinner on a weeknight.

A little more aggressive than the average Alvarinho. Vanilla, butter, and floral notes on the nose. Lots of grapefruit and bit of oak and butter notes on the attack. A fairly aggressive finish for a light, white, wine.
