Very dark color; lots of tannin on the nose and palate. Some brambles and some smoky impression. I was not impressed and thought that the rather mediocre year, coupled with too much oak, made for a not very enjoyable nor attractive drink. In my opinion no amount of additional age will cure this wine anymore.

Was bad.

Not as good as I expected. Nice nose with brick color. Body is medium to me with mineral and some berry. However too strong acidity for my taste. Tannins is still quite strong.

Lovely and perfectly mature now - an edge of rich fruit cake well matched with smooth tannins and slightly hot alcohol which I find very characteristic of St Emilion

Opened, decanted and poured just minutes later. This was very pleasant. Not huge, not a dozen different tastes going on, but balanced, soundly crafted and probably drinking about as well as it will. Very good, not great. There's better bang for the buck out there.
