Montcy, Cheverny, Clos Cendres

Racy acidity, medium body, judicious oak, and a respectably long finish make the 2019 Domaine de Montcy Licorne a fun alternative to so much summer chardonnay. Oxidization tends not to be my cup of tea, but others will enjoy the complexity a faint almond note adds to the yellow apple, peach pit, pear, lemon, and honeysuckle. Drink over the next 5ish years? Honestly haven't had enough Romorantin to say with certainty how oaked versions will age ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
