Wow, this aged beauty is still drinking well !! At or just past peak !! The cork was near perfect and easily removed after over a dozen years in the bottle. This balanced wine was consumed over two days. Dark reddish purple color with minor oxidation and good clarity. This balanced Pinot Noir has aromas of black raspberry, cherry-cola with floral notes. Savory flavors of pomegranate, blackberry, black cherry, and bark with an earthy hints of black tea and black …

I agree with my tasting note of one year ago, at peak, and tasting really good now !! Perfect cork, easily removed after over a dozen years in the bottle. Consumed over two days. Deep burgundy color with minor oxidation and good clarity. This balanced Pinot Noir displayed aromas of pomegranate and rhubarb, flavors of sweet cranberry, cherry, and forest floor with a pleasant medium finish. I was skeptical of the 2011s when I purchased but it tasted so good …

Probably at peak now! PnP, amazing bouquet of dried strawberries, cherries, violets, and some tertiary showing of mushroom and forest floor. Finish was pleasant, sustained by the dried fruits, and long. Pronounced intensity (I was surprised). Outstanding!

In balance and enjoyable to drink. Has enough acid and structure to age for several more years.

We received this bottle from Lynmar’s wine club in November, 2013. The bouquet is earthy and exhibits a chalky element, as well as dried herbs and dark fruits. This Pinot pours very dark but has about a 50/50 balance of red and dark/black fruit flavor elements, such as plums, blackberries, black cherries, raspberries, sour cherries, and red currants. Next “up to the plate” are the dried-herb elements, such as the usual herbs in an Herb de Provence blend, as well …

Consistent with previous bottle. A very tasty and smooth pinot but missing some of that aromatic pop and acid I come to expect from this vineyard.

Popped and poured. Nose of ripe cherry and raspberry with a bit of baking spice and vanilla. Creamy mouthfeel and flavors of ripe red fruit, cranberry and a touch of oak on the back end. Juicy acidity but still ripe and round. Very tasty pinot.

Good, full-bodied Pinot Noir from Lynmar. Not as creamy as some but stood up well to Teryaki Salmon.

This medium-to-deep ruby wine provides intense aromas and flavors of dried cranberries, coriander, cola and allspice. A medium-bodied offering, it delivers fresh acidity, medium fine-grained tannins and seamless alcohol (listed as 13.9%). Solid in the middle and long on the finish, this is a Pinot which lives up to its hefty price tag. It should be at its best over the next five years. Drink now-2019.

Cola and dark cherry nose. Nice full bodied Pinot, with green tea and light spice added when tasted. Nice lingering earthiness on the finish. Sharp, clear flavors.

Medium ruby color. Dark red cherry and raspberry notes on the nose along with some baking spices and vanilla and caramel oak related notes. Similar flavors on the palate with ripe red fruit and cinnamon, clove and vanilla. Medium+ acid, medium tannins. Smooth mouthfeel and long finish. A very nice pinot but was expecting a bit more from this bottling given past experiences. Perhaps some more bottle time will help develop some more subtle flavors. I felt the oak may …

2011 was a challenging year for Lynmar, but it does not mean they not make outstanding wines. Full of dark cherry and spice and balanced with solid acidity, this is more than just good. However, unlike their best years, this wine plays it solidly in the middle, no high tenor raspberry or deep bass plum, which simplifies the experience just a tad.

In a word: this wine is INTENSE! The color, the aroma, and flavors. Dark red/purple, smokey berries and walnuts, dark fruit and figs with choke cherries. Yes, there's some edge here as well, acidity! No surprise, really, as this one is a mere baby. A BABY! I drank the BABY!!! Just for fun, not what I do all the time, who do you think I am? -- 2 hours later, softened, sweetened. Now you know.

Bright cherry and cola, medium body, tart acidity. Should get better with more cellar time.

very enjoyable. young, but well made. cherry and cola on the nose. a bit of heat but to be expected b/c its young. in the mouth its pretty, balanced bright red fruit, with backbone of acidity. its a bit tart - once again i think it will age well. nice finish. would consider buying this again!

Well-balanced Pinot. Raspberry on the nose. Cherry-cola and raspberry on the front to mid-palate, finishing with some slightly tart strawberry notes. Good now, likely better in a couple of years.

Tasted at the winery. Dark ruby color with good clarity. Nose of raspberry, cherry and baking spices. Palate was more tart red fruit with dried cherries, cranberry flavors and a tart finish. Medium+ acid, not too much oak. Very good structure and balance. Needs more time to come together but this is very good pinot.
