A little grated ginger to the aroma at first along with perhaps some varnish. There’s good fruit here as well and in the mouth all sorts of tart red berries and currents ping around on the palate. It has a little liquorice and some underlying meat and earth. It is lithe, muscular and sinewy and in need of some serious cellar time.
