Resolved, mild with nice clarity, and balanced with some nice energy left on the finish. Nice.

Love the structure and drive on the tail. Nicely shaped but sparse fruit.

Long and chic with secondary highlights and symmetry in surprise places. Blew away the 2007 zero one wild sky.

Still a very nice wine. Medium body with a decent amount of tannin still left. I drank it with a ham dinner. Probably not big enough to stand up to heavy red meats.

I was pleasantly surprised by this bottle. A bit lacking in richness, perhaps, but overall was very well balanced.

We enjoyed this wine. Nice aromas developed immediately and it seemed to show the fruit very well. Reading other tasting notes confused me as we had nice cola, oak and red fruit flavors. Glad we have more.

Same general comments as previous review, but the finish has shortened and in nearly two years the fruit has dissipated. I probably overestimated the aging capacity.

Lots of oak and vanilla with dark berries. The mid pallet was smooth and light but did not do much for me. The finish was a little short. Big heavy tannins to start which mellowed once I decanted for a little bit. I enjoyed a 2000 merlot from seven hill that blew me away but this one not as much.

Something of a lightweight, but I don't mean that as a criticism, it's just a lighter style done very well. Light cherry and raspberry, round fruit, not a ton of tannins, but a pretty wine, tasty, with drinkability written all over it.

A very sold wine; well balanced with a nose of earth, oak, cola, cherries and dark berries. Finish is lengthy and tannins are soft. My experience with the 2002 vintage suggests this one should lay down for seven years and evolve nicely.

Staff Favorites (Farpointe Cellar) : The nose had cherry pie, rhubarb, plum, and spice. The palate had plum, cherry, spice, and vanilla.

87-90 Should get better with a bit more time to mellow out the tannins.

Wonderful nose of fresh blackberry and dark frutis. Smooth bordeaux blend that is drinking well now. This wine will go w/dark meats, pastas w/red sauce and all kinds of cheese. An excellent wine, and very good price point. This wine is not a stunner, , but will have you coming back for more.

Decanted and consumed over 3 hours. Deep garnet-red color but not opaque. Intially the nose was exposive, redolent of leather, tar, coffee, blackberries, cherries and oak. After a few hours the nose calmed down to a more civilized belnd of the above. Typical ripe Washington cab on the palate with flavors the parrot the nose - blackberries, coffee and cassis. Very complete on the palate with no hollowness at all. Very long, sweet finish. Any tannins present were completely covered …

Perfumed nose to the point of baby powder. This is a very young wine that would be unfair to rate at this point. We decanted and drank it over two hours. Not my type of blend.
