No decant - enjoyed over about 3 hours. Really nice CA Pinot. Great fruit with a mineral base. This just continued to improve over the evening.

Light red color at the beginning changing to a full red color overtime. Spices and cloves at the nose, shows a spice pleasant taste.

Our consistent favorite U.S. pinot noir, but this bottle was a bit too sweet. Excellent pronounced aroma but I would not identify it as PN if blinded. Lots of fruit, with some sweetness, but also not what I think of as typical PN flavors. Full body, a PN fruit bomb, lingering aftertaste. Drink now and over the next couple of years. Ric

Walter Hansel North Slope Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019 Vintage poured into a stemless Riedel WingWings Pinot glass is a dark ruby in color. Right from the bottle, the initial aromas are present with Hibiscus, Raspberries, Star Anise, and an ironlike metallic earthiness. The flavors mimic much of the aroma with bright red berries, unripe tart plums, iron, black licorice, and menthol. Light sweetness balanced expertly with earthiness and acidity makes it an excellent wine to drink on itβs own to β¦

Dark ruby color, thin legs. ππ» blueberry, a little blackberry, tea leaf π
black licorice, dried cranberry, tea leaf with 35 sec finish Really an exceptional QPR for this style of California pinot noir, with a lot of acidity and flavor upfront

Color is clean deep ruby to even purple Nose of fuming of violets, leather, black olives, star anise and sweat tea. Wowsa on the palate, immediately very accessible. Amazed at the balance of acidity and tannins, and the lingering sweetness makes this really very enjoyable... Very impressed. This is a great wine for a relaxed evening of conversation.

Medium-dark reddish garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe red cherries, blueberries & strawberries with overtones of floral notes of violets, earthy/dusty & spice notes, minerals, cherry-cola, a hint of oak & vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, rich, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with spices, minerals, cola, some oak & a touch of vanilla. Drinks quite well at present but should develop β¦
