Dark coloring when poured. The nose was very closed with hints of cassis, plum and pencil lead. Did not open much over the next hour. Presumably it's in a 'dumb' phase as it was well structured with muted tannins.

Dark ruby colour. Hardly any evolution visible. Expressive nose of black berries, chocolate, pencil and fine oak. Good structure, volume. Ending with some dry tannins. This baby is still young, though can be appreciated as from now, but has the potential to gain a point or 2!

Even at 7 a very powerful wine on the palate. High acid. Strong tannins. 30 min decant softened it perfectly.
