Une légère odeur de bouillon de bœuf fait craindre l’oxydation. Il y a quand même de fruits et des effluves de garrigues qui ont survécu au passage du temps. La bouteille est imparfaite, mais le vin possède encore de belles qualités, surtout en bouche. Gourmand, très expressif, il est assez puissant mais bien proportionné, encore savoureux avec des herbes séchées en finale. 90 pts en l’état, sans doute 93 ou davantage pour une bouteille en meilleure forme.

Dinner at the club. PNP, Dark fruits, lavender and garrigue on the nose. Medium plus bodied with tremendous purity and no sense of heat or heaviness (15% alcohol). Long, balanced finish. The table loved this. 94 points

Had at K&L tasting event. Garnet in color. Blackcurrants and pepper on the nose. Not very intense- probably medium(-). On the palate, same on the nose. Very balanced with a slight emphasis of fruits and elegance. I would say it’s fairly complex. Very tasty

My second last bottle of the 24 I bought on release and I’ve so enjoyed these. I’ve left a few notes over the years (the last in 2018!) and the quality of this wine just shines through. Not overly sweet which I find a problem in many CNdP. Tannin totally seamless. Still fresh, bright and vibrant - a happy wine. Mid weight so alcohol in balance. At this price point I really do think 95 is fully justified.

Served blind, full body, notes of mocha, oak, very sweet lengthy yet hot finish. This one seems to be built for the long haul however the burning finish in concerning.

CdP blind tasting. Illuminating evening, while there were some nice and complex wines there were also quite a few misses. Issues revolved around either not aging well and becoming pruney, oxidative with cooked fruit aromas or just being too heavy/sweet/alcoholic. TN: This was the first red that convinced me front-to-back. Discrete nose of cool dark fruit, licorice, intermixed with subtle underbrush and earthy elements, everything is very precise. I haven‘t had this in a few years. It has developped really nicely since my last bottle. Open and radiant, this is showing notes of blackberries, dark cherries and kirsch, some dark notes of soil, some notes of leather/roasted bone marrow. It's full bodied and dense, with excellent mid-palate persistence. I decanted this wine for three hours. Dark fruit, with notes of underbrush, minerality and a touch of tobacco. Wonderful spice notes as well. This wine has great balance. The nose developed more with each glass. Good texture and depth. There is a lot of upside yet to come for this wine. Great juice.

Just about gave up on CdP...this isn't a 100% turnaround, but keeps the wine alive in my universe. Especially at the sub $40 price paid. Cinnamon, caramel, red and black fruit, grilled meat, mineral. Nice acidity, Significant tannin. thinking this has years still

I am not arguing this is the greatest wine on the planet but on this evening, with no decant at all, it was perfect and delicious straight out of the bottle. Classic CNdP flavours but so so fresh. Elegant and mineral. Have 6 left and will enjoy how this ages

Liquorice, camphor, garrigue, mushroom, tea leaves, rose pedal, plum, blueberry, menthol, leather, earth, moss. Finely tuned acidity balances still firm tannins. Never beastly despite tipping the scales at 15%. Peaking now and for the next several years. Enjoy freely.

About 2.5 years after my last bottle, this is still showing pretty young. First a little reticent, but opening up a little in the glass. Pretty complex but slightly muted aromatics of blackberries, dark cherries and kirsch, some dark earthy notes and some animalic notes of roasted bone marrow.
