Classic Armagnac and a trip back in time to the wilder side of distillation. A little rough after opening, the character comes through with time in the glass. I expect that this will improve in the coming months, if it is like other Armagnacs from this producer.

Been holding on to this for awhile, just opened. Slightly woody, but blossoms with maple syrup, candied apple, toasted marshmallow, burned citrus peel, and vanilla caramel. Nice finish. I could see this pairing with a medium bodied cigar, if you’re so inclined.

36 YO brandy. The wood is quite prominent. 43% ABV and seemingly disjointed. Will most probably get better with oxidation. 90-92+ 8/29/2020 update: wood is still strong, and there is no smoothness on the horizon.
